Terms of Service

By accessing or using Sulitko ("the Platform", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These Terms apply to all visitors, students, and teachers who access or use the Platform.

Sulitko is an online marketplace that connects language learners ("Students") with independent language teachers ("Teachers"). We provide the technology platform and payment infrastructure; Teachers are independent contractors, not employees of Sulitko.

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, or have verifiable parental consent.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
• One person may not maintain more than one active account.

• Teachers must accurately represent their qualifications, experience, and language proficiency.
• Teachers must pass Sulitko's proficiency verification before being listed publicly.
• Teachers must appear on time for scheduled lessons. Repeated no-shows may result in account suspension.
• Teachers may not solicit Students to pay outside the Platform to circumvent Sulitko's fees.
• Teachers must comply with all applicable laws in their jurisdiction regarding income and taxes.

• Students must treat Teachers with respect. Harassment or abusive language is grounds for account termination.
• Students are responsible for having a working device, internet connection, and webcam for lessons.
• Students must provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel a lesson without penalty.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. Lesson prices are set by individual Teachers and displayed in USD. Sulitko retains a platform commission on each transaction; the remainder is remitted to the Teacher. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

Please review our Refund Policy for full details on cancellations and refunds. In summary:

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours before a lesson are eligible for a full refund or credit.
• Cancellations within 24 hours of the lesson start time are generally non-refundable.
• If a Teacher cancels or fails to appear, Students will receive a full refund or lesson credit.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
• Record lessons without the explicit written consent of all participants.
• Share, sell, or distribute lesson content without permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform's systems.
• Use the Platform to distribute spam, malware, or fraudulent content.

All content on the Platform — including logos, design, software, and text — is owned by Sulitko or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Sulitko does not guarantee that the Platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees about learning outcomes.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sulitko shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sulitko operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
